The Old Town Sportsman PDL 120 fits nicely into the middle of this PDL propelled angling kayak series. Designed around a very stable double-u shaped 12ft hull, the 120 provides a great platform to fish from. Due to the width of the hull the angler can fish from either a seated position, or from standing thanks to the EVA foam non-slip area on the centre of the boat. With this wide, stable, hull the PDL 120 is only really suitable for use on calm water, such as most inland waterways and also sheltered estuaries and coastal bays.

The Sportsman 120's propulsion system is Old Town's PDL drive, award winning and proving both reliable and durable during use. The PDL can be raised or lowered simply, and secured into place using the patented easy-docking system. The PDL can be used in forward or reverse, by switching the pedalling direction. Great for manoeuvring in tighter locations, coming alongside a pontoon/dock or holding position in slow-moving currents. For paddlers/pedallers of different heights, the seat is adjustable along a track to accommodate different leg lengths and give a comfortable drive position. This seat system is easily reclined to suit the usewr, and the seat is covered with a heavy duty mesh to aid drainage, and ventilation.

Moving the PDL 120 to and from the water, and lifting it onto a car roofrack can be achieved, and the solid carry handles help to achieve this. Both the PDL drive and Element seat can be removed entirely to reduce the hull weight and make transportation easier. Other features include a simple to operate rudder system to aid steering. Numerous onboard storage options, and three flush-mounted rod holders. For those wanting to add extras onto their fishing kayak, there are 2x accessory tracks and a universal transducer mounting plate for making fitting an after market fish-finder a breeze.
