The Appalachian Canoe is an excellent river running canoe as it has just enough rocker to provide excellent maneuverability in the rapids, and flared ends for dryness and buoyancy, the Appalachian is a very impressive 16 foot river runner. The Appalachian is constructed of tough Oltonar/Royalex® with a shallow arch bottom for a good combination of initial and secondary stability. Whitewater enthusiasts will particularly appreciate the Appalachian canoes quick response and tight handling in conditions up to grade III. It can be paddled solo or tandem, and at 654kg carrying capacity the Appalachian is also a great choice for family outings or day trips. Standard features include vinyl gunwales, polyethylene decks, nylon web seats, grab loops, and ash yoke and thwart.
