Dagger Blackwater Recreation Kayak The lady who owns Canoe Shops UK group had the first Blackwater 10' 5" that came into the country and she still has the same kayak today. The Dagger Blackwater 10.5 is quite simply a superb recreational touring kayak that tracks well and has good forward speed. The easy to use drop down skeg means you don't need to fight the kayak to keep it going in a straight line and the generous continental size cockpit makes getting in and getting out simple. The picture below shows the Blackwater 10.5 Expedition model fitted with a rear hatch and bulkhead. The rear hatch acts as a buoyancy chamber should you fall in and provides a water resistant storage space for kit. The Blackwater now also includes thigh braces to provide greater control. Best-paddled on sheltered coastal waters, estuary's, lakes and canals. Smaller paddlers need not despair, as the Blackwater is well suited and easy to control by both small and larger build kayakers.
