The new backrest system can be tightened and loosened via a ratchet system whilst sitting in the boat. The height of the backrest can also be adjusted to find the perfect position for the individual paddler. These features make it the ideal choice for those suffering with bad backs. The Carolina is made up of Vacuum moulded seats, adjustable thigh braces, 2 hatches, 2 bulkheads and adjustable foot stops to name just a few features. The hulls are wider and stable with large cockpits for easy entry and exit.The Carolina 14 is the perfect choice for the recreational paddler looking for a comfortable paddle coastal & estuary waters. The large cockpit offers easy entry and exit for the nervous or those who don't want to feel traped. Like all other kayaks of this size the boat is still relatively easy to car top and transport.
