The Palm Extrem Vest is probably the best whitewater buoyancy aid on the market. What Palm haven't included or built into the design of this PFD isn't worth having.

The Extrem is packed with every feature you could need whilst managing to maintain minimal bulk and offering unparalleled comfort thanks to its flex formed foam that wraps around the torso. The front foam separates to allow easy entry for those wearing dry suits, however, unlike most other buoyancy aids the Extrem uses a four point clip system to join the foam – no more faffing with difficult zips with cold fingers! A large double front pocket overlaps the front join making the buoyancy appear to be a pullover. 

Other features include two small chest pockets for knife storage & whistle (included), centre chest harness & reflective detail on front & rear, as well as adjustable shoulder straps covered with tough grip panels to aid boat carrying.
