Single-layer SuperLinear PE & TriFuse Triple Layer Options

The Wave Sport Hydra 145 is a versatile touring boat capable of introducing newcomers to longer trips as well as allowing experts to show off their skills in the rough stuff. The 57/60cm beam (LV/Standard) ensures the boat is stable and easy to manoeuvre which is reassuring for those new to longer faster boats. Those same properties alongside the hard chined hull shape with plenty of rocker mean the Hydra can be taken into the surf zone or rock-hopping by those with more experience.

The COREtour WhiteOut seating system is second to none, you will really feel part of the kayak and find it has day long comfort. With plenty of hatches for gear storage, YAK Attack tracks for accessories you can take enough gear along for multi-day trips. Being rudder ready you could add the optional rudder kit if you really want to get the most out of this kayak as an open water tourer.

The versatile Hydra 145 can be used for sea paddling, touring, rock-hopping, surfing, lakes, lochs, slow moving rivers and even a bit of fishing. It is also a great transition kayak for those used to paddling compact kayaks or sit on tops and wanting to progress their skills ready to move on to a performance touring kayak - the Hydra really does have many heads!

The Hydra 145 is now offered to two constructions - The tried and test single skin polyethylene and the new TriFuse triple layer.

TriFuse Technology is Wave Sport’s advanced triple-layer construction, combining durable SuperLinear polyethylene inner and outer layers with a foamed PE core. This innovative fusion delivers the perfect balance of lightweight performance and added stiffness, resulting in a hull that’s faster, more responsive, and tracks truer in dynamic conditions. Paddlers can now choose between the proven toughness of single-layer SuperLinear PE or step up to the enhanced rigidity and efficiency of the new TriFuse build.

The Hydra 145 is available in two sizes, the standard Hydra & Hydra LV (LV = low volume, for smaller paddlers)
