The Werner Churchill is a touring-oriented canoe paddle designed for efficiency, light swing weight, and comfort over long distances. It uses a fiberglass blade paired with a carbon-blend shaft, giving it a balance of durability and performance without being overly heavy. Its 10° bent-shaft design and long, slender blade make it well suited to forward-stroke efficiency and higher-cadence paddling.
On the water, the Churchill offers a smooth, controlled feel thanks to its dihedral blade shape, which reduces flutter. The buoyant fiberglass construction provides a forgiving catch, while the palm-style ABS grip helps reduce hand fatigue on extended trips. Its overall design makes it a strong choice for tripping and touring, especially when paddling a loaded canoe where efficiency matters.
The palm grip is comfortable and allows the fingers to be relaxed as opposed to splayed. Made from a high impact resistant ABS plastic, it will be protected from the rigors of the outdoors.
