The Old Town Heron 11 a lightweight touring kayak designed to be stable and excel in calm conditions. The spacious interior and hull shape suits paddlers of all sizes. Ample storage can be found in the rear of the Heron 11 XT, with a Quick Seal oval hatch making for an excellent place to store dry bags or overnight camping kit for the more adventurous. The hatch is easy to operate even with cold or wet fingers, while a sealed bulkhead allows this area to remain dry (and work as a large buoyancy chamber) even if the worst happens and the cockpit floods. With two flush mounted rod holders behind the cockpit, the Heron 11 XT offers the ability to easily stow rods or indeed troll with them situated conveniently out of the way but within reach.
