Built for lake paddling, coastal touring, canoe journeys, and mixed-weather adventures, the latest Chinook updates Palm’s trusted touring platform with Seawastex® XP 2.5-layer fabric, bringing a more sustainable construction without sacrificing the dependable waterproof protection the Chinook is known for.
Made from Palm’s PFAS-free Seawastex® XP recycled fabric, the latest Chinook offers lightweight waterproofing and breathability with a softer, more flexible feel than traditional touring cags. Designed to pack down small when conditions are calm, it’s easy to stow away and quickly deploy when wind, spray, or rain arrives. The articulated cut allows natural paddling movement through the shoulders and torso, helping reduce fatigue and keeping the jacket comfortable during long-distance sessions. Palm’s Seawastex® fabric uses recycled fishing nets and marine nylon waste to reduce environmental impact while maintaining strong durability and weather resistance.
A standout feature of the Chinook is its fleece-lined double collar with offset zip, designed to offer warmth, comfort, and improved ventilation. The adjustable ExoSkin inner neck seal provides a comfortable semi-dry closure, avoiding the restriction of a latex neck gasket while still offering dependable protection against spray and waves. Latex wrist gaskets and adjustable outer cuffs help seal out water, while the spraydeck-compatible twin waist reduces cockpit water ingress. The removable, helmet-compatible storm hood adds extra weather protection for rougher conditions and can be zipped off when not needed.
