More Details

The Werner Shuna is one of our most popular high angle touring paddles. It's mid-size blades are a great choice for those looking for a paddle to cover distance but that still delivers power when you need to turn it on. Its carbon shaft and composite blades make the Shuna lightweight and provide a much cleaner catch than with nylon based blades.

The mid-sized blades are versatile and easy to use whether eating up the miles on open waters or during advanced manoeuvres. The slight dihedral enhances blade manoeuvrability for smooth linking strokes. The Fibreglass blades have a slight amount of flex designed to reduce fatigue whereas the carbon blades are more rigid providing more focused power transfer.

The Shuna features Werner's adjustable ferrule system allowing the paddle to be split apart when not in use for easy stowing in a paddle bag or directly in a car boot. It also allows the user to adjust the feather of the blades to suit their preference.

The Werner Shuna is available in two shaft types: Straight shaft & Neutral Bent Shaft.

The Straight shaft is the lightest weight option and allows for easy hand movement along the shaft on strokes like bow rudder and braces or during rolling.

Werner's Neutral Bent Shaft aims to provide a grip point that more naturally aligns arm, wrist and hand to reduce strain. This can be particularly beneficial for those with arthritis or other conditions affecting tendons and joints.
