When the weather starts to turn and the water temperature drops there is one piece of clothing above all others that will keep the kayaker safe, warm and comfortable in those shoulder seasons and that is a drysuit. The Yak Strata is specifically designed as a lightweight surface immersion suit for all your paddling needs and once paired with a suitable PFD and warm boots will extend your paddling season into the Autumn and beyond.

The Strata is made from 3 layer waterproof breathable fabric with stretch panel in the lower back for flexibility. The wearer enters through the shoulder mounted tough YKK Aquaseal zip and there are internal braces for a snug fit. The seals are comfortable and long lasting neoprene which allows for all day paddling without rashes sometimes associated with latex. Any excess material can be snugged down using the Velcro waist tabs and outer storm cuffs on the wrists ensure a there is no flapping there either.

If the weather is truly awful then just pull out the high visibility storm hood to protect against cold winds and spray. There are further hi-vis reflective tabs on the sleeves as well as on the collar. Finally a YKK aquaseal relief zip allows easy comfort breaks.
