At the core of the updated Atom is its rugged Seawastex® XP construction, made from recycled nylon with a dense weave and hard-wearing finish to withstand repeated abrasion from rocks, decks, and rescue situations. The fabric offers excellent waterproof protection while remaining breathable enough for high-energy paddling, helping regulate temperature on long sessions. Its refined six-panel articulated cut is designed to move naturally with the body, allowing unrestricted rotation, reach, and power transfer while paddling.

For reliable sealing in rough water, the Atom uses a latex neck gasket protected by a GlideSkin neoprene outer collar for improved comfort and reduced wear. Latex wrist gaskets paired with adjustable outer cuffs create secure dry seals, while the twin-waist system integrates seamlessly with a spraydeck to minimise water ingress into the cockpit. A YKK AquaGuard chest pocket provides secure storage for small essentials, and reflective detailing improves visibility in lower-light conditions.
