Crossover Kayak For Touring & Whitewater

The Wave Sport Ethos 9 & 10 have been designed as a multi-purpose "I can handle whatever you throw at me" kind of kayak. This means the Ethos performs well for a spot of touring on the local river or lake but is still able & ready to tackle that chunky section of whitewater on the next trip. A true all round and crossover kayak.

Looking from a touring perspective the  Wave Sport Ethos tracks extremely well, even without the skeg down it keeps its line easily. The Ethos is also very comfortable making it a pleasure to paddle for longer periods & larger distances. It is also very stable meaning novices won't spend anytime concerned about falling in. Another feature of the Ethos 9 & 10 is the large rear storage area sealed off with a bulkhead behind the seat & a rubber hatch for easy access on the rear deck. This means that you can carry a fair amount of kit for any overnight trips or longer days on the water.

When it comes to whitewater you can move the Ethos around the rapid smoothly and efficiently, punching through big stoppers and waves with ease. Like all crossover kayaks the Ethos has it's limitation on bigger whitewater but the Ethos is still fun to bounce down the rapids and is very forgiving for those less experienced on whitewater.

The Wave Sport Ethos is available in two outfitting options:  WhiteOut & COREtour

The WhiteOut outfitting is more suited to moving water and whitewater paddling, with a full bulkhead footrest, forward ratchet backband, and robust outfitting ideal for river features.

The COREtour version is designed with touring and longer-distance paddling in mind, featuring a leg-lifter seat, rear-adjustable backband, and lighter pedal-style footrests for all-day comfort. The COREtour provides a significant weight saving of approximately 2.5kg over the WhiteOut spec.
