The Palm Wave Sneaker is built for the transition between the water and the shore, borrowing the high-traction platform of the technical Gradient boot and refining it into a lighter, more agile profile. At its core is the Vibram Idrogrip outsole, a rubber compound specifically formulated for maximum friction on wet, slippery rock. The sole is stitched directly to the upper for long-term durability, ensuring it can withstand the rigors of frequent portaging and riverbank scrambles that often tear apart standard footwear.

For protection and fit, the shoe features a breathable mono-mesh upper reinforced with welded PU to guard against abrasion from rocky shorelines. A key design element is the integrated knitted ankle sock, which creates a soft seal around the leg to prevent sand, gravel, and river debris from entering the shoe. This keeps the interior clear and comfortable during long days on the water or while walking through silt and surf.

Functionally, the Wave Sneaker utilizes a dual-density EVA midsole that provides the necessary cushioning for walking over uneven terrain without adding excessive bulk. An approach-shoe style lacing system allows for a highly adjustable, locked-in fit, while pull tabs at the front and back make it easy to slip on even when wet.
